Policy status and source notices

Pilot limits and the policy decisions required before production.

Policy status and source notices

Pilot only. Production terms have not been approved. This document is a status notice, not a terms-of-use agreement or evidence that anyone accepted one.

This public pilot is operated by Comms.ID PTY LTD. Releases may be withdrawn or superseded if errors are found; no correction or response time is promised during the pilot. A public error-report channel has not yet been designated.

Source notices

Legislation content is attributed to the Federal Register of Legislation, managed by the Office of Parliamentary Counsel. Except where otherwise noted, it is reused under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Comms.ID converts source content into Markdown, structured records and HTML reading views; these presentation changes do not imply endorsement by the Register. Consult the Register’s terms of use for the applicable licence, required attribution and exceptions, including the Commonwealth Coat of Arms and material marked otherwise.

Based on content from the Federal Register of Legislation downloaded on or before 12 April 2026; the exact download date was not recorded. For the latest information on Australian Government legislation please go to the Federal Register of Legislation. This attribution applies to the Cyber Security Act 2024 text included in this pilot. Its source EPUB was generated by the Register on 28 January 2026; a later freshness observation is not the download date.

Website reading pages are derived presentations. Exact canonical Markdown downloads retain their published bytes; this does not mean they are byte-identical to the Register’s EPUB or HTML.

Before production

The following policies require an owner, approved text and a versioned publication:

  • Corrections, withdrawal notices and retention of superseded releases.
  • Freshness definitions, checking commitments and failure disclosure.
  • Source licences, attribution and service terms with distinct scopes.
  • Access limits and any required operator acknowledgement.
  • Query privacy, measurements and retention periods.
  • Citation stability, supported versions and consumer re-review duties.

Pilot behaviour

The pilot does not enable an AI assistant, hosted search provider or analytics integration. Source observation dates are shown as recorded; they are not promises of current law.

Documentation and this notice can be read without acknowledging unapproved terms. Any future service acceptance receipt must identify the approved policy version and its scope.

The public pilot is served through Cloudflare Workers static assets. The application has no analytics integration or AI assistant; this does not mean the hosting provider processes no request data. Cloudflare may process request information to deliver and protect the service under its privacy policy.

Documentation search uses an index downloaded from this site and runs locally in the browser. It searches the documentation pages, not legislation text.

Reading and Data pages ask search engines not to index them during the pilot. This is a crawler instruction, not access control; the pages remain accessible through ordinary links.
